Gang busted after million-dollar Bel Air heist

Bandits yesterday attacked and robbed the family of businessman Malcolm Panday in a Bel Air Gardens home invasion, but they were later nabbed by police after a chase through the streets of George-town and the exchange of gunfire.

The fleeing men, who were said to have taken millions in the robbery, sought to escape through the compound of the Ocean Spray Hotel, located along Vlissengen Road, where they parked their car and fired at the trailing policemen before scaling the fence. Police, who returned fire, followed and arrested three of the four men with a sum of cash. Further investigations by police led to the arrest of three other men at Front Road, West Ruimveldt and the recovery of more cash.

Bourbon & Pearls: Ringing In The New At The Hotel Bel Air

The Hotel Bel Air has been like a second home to me; thanks to my now departed American aunt and uncle I have been popping in and out of there since my shoes   fastened with  press studs. Years later when I teetered in, in  red soled  high heels on a celebratory weekend for my tenth wedding anniversary, she enveloped me with grace, gravitas and a  comfortable warmth that no other hotel could muster. Hollywood Regency Kelly Wearstler   trendy LA  cliche. Beautiful yes, but I do not see any longevity in the interior design, I fear  however that I do see a transient sceney hang out. The Bel Air has never been about being 'hip' or 'hot' or 'of the moment', and we will have to wait and see if Lauren Bacall still favours her  usual pool-side suite. Now that the Bel Air has had work done and  now that the bandages are off, I fear she has come out looking just  like every other gal  in Hollywood. I really, really hope I'm wrong and that if the tax return gods smile upon me and  I manage over this autumn, I once again fall back into her arms and find that she's beautiful and more than ready for her 

Like the previous readers, I do not find the decor attractive nor luxurious. But they did not ask my opinion, so I shall wish them well. I love your line "the hotel has had work done and now that the bandages are off,she will come out looking like every gal in Hollywood". This is so beautifully worded and truly sums up how I feel about the new, safe decor.
